After growing up with a travelling band of wayward adventurers, all Cos ever wanted was to settle down into a simple life. When he met Shayn, he finally found the right person with whom to leave the road for good. An adorable bundle of joy later, everything was pretty perfect.
But it was not to last. A roving gang of barbarians—led, it was said, by Bokoc the Bloody—destroyed his homestead and killed his family, leaving Cos’s simple life in tatters. As everything perfect burned to the ground, not even bones remained. All Cos could find amongst the ashes were a teapot, his daughter’s teddy bear, and a mysterious key he had never seen before.
